Clocks are used for alarms from the earlier days and nowadays most commonly used by the school students to wake up early in the morning to prepare for the exams and Lumie alarm clock is found in most of the households. As a school student, I used to keep the Lumie alarm clock in my bed and used to wake up early after the alarm goes off. My father was very strict and used to wake me up early and he gave me the Lumie alarm clock to keep up with time. I learnt discipline from the clock and stared doing things in a routine manner like having break fast at 8 A.M and started scheduling my daily activities. This helped me to schedule the time for studying different subjects and used the Lumie alarm clock to set alarm for each task. In the beginning, it was very hard to get up in the morning and I used to just turn off the alarm and sleep again. But once I started getting up, I understood the worthiness of the morning time and most of the time, no one can waste the time in the morning and do some useful work. I used to set the alarm in the Lumie alarm clock at 5 A.M and get up very early and start studying the different subjects and my class performance increased gradually and as days went on, the Lumie alarm clock was not needed for waking me up as it became a habit and a routine. I follow this habit till now and even after becoming a business man, I have the Lumie alarm clock as a memorable thing in my possession an now also I wake up early and go for jogging and do exercises in the morning that will make the entire day fresh and accomplish the various tasks with full concentration. Now the Lumie alarm clock is with my son and he is learning what all I have learnt in my child hood but he prefers the cell phone to keep alarms and the Lumie alarm clock has become out dated with the advancements in technology and new hi fi equipments dominating the market to a great extent and now all the applications including world clock, alarm, stop timer, calculator and games are available in a single mobile phone with more additional features and value additions in the mobiles.
